I bought a Schwinn, because Schwinn had a good reputation, a couple years ago at a Target store in Arizona. The seat was the right height for me, so I never tried to adjust it. This year someone else taller than me wanted to ride it, but when we tried to adjust the height, the post wouldn't budge. I tried WD-40, but that didn't help. Took it to a bicycle shop and the technician said it was poor workmanship. He said that the post was too big for the tube, so it was just jammed in when it was manufactured. I had already been in contact with Pacific Cycle, they said it was rust. When I told them what the technician said, they still insisted it was rust. I talked to a supervisor, who told me to spray it with rust remover. Tried that, didn't work because it's NOT A RUST PROBLEM!! They absolutely do not stand behind their products! Don't buy anything from them!
